Meet Siobhan

Siobhan is a single mother of three. Siobhan recently relocated to the area and needed to find work in order to care for her children. However in order for her to work, she needed to ensure the children were in a safe and loving environment. A friend told her about YWCA WNY’s Early Childhood and School Age Child Care programs and she set up an appointment to come visit. Staff welcomed her and soon all three children were attending YWCA WNY programming.

Siobhan recently commented to staff that, “YWCA WNY gave me peace of mind around my children’s well-being, which allowed me to focus on finding work to take care of my family. That was ten months ago. I am proud to say that in a few weeks, I will no longer need government assistance. YWCA WNY provided the supports I needed to achieve stability and self-sufficiency for me and my family.”
