Help us make 2023 a year of RENEWAL

2022 WAS A YEAR OF TRAGEDY.
2023 WILL BE A YEAR OF RENEWAL.

In 2022, from the May 14™ massacre to the deadly December blizzard, YWCA WNY provided constant community support in response to its challenges:

  • Children & Youth: Over 1300 children achieved academic and social-emotional growth utilizing resources and programs provided by YWCA WNY.
  • Housing: More than 85 individuals maintained safe, secure, and stable housing during a time when homelessness increased for many in Western New York.
  • Support Services: Over 1500 children and families were provided individualized support services which allowed them to remain employed, housed, fed, in school, and growing.

With your help, in 2023 YWCA WNY will deepen our impact and capacity to better serve our community:

  • Anti-Racism: YWCA WNY will invest $30K to advance our anti-racism platform through internal audits and education. resulting in renewed advocacy efforts and program curriculum..
  • Trauma-Informed Care: YWCA WNY will invest $20K in staff education that will transform our practices by understanding the impact of life experiences on those we serve, and allow us to serve them better.
  • Capacity Building: YWCA WNY will invest $25K to assess, restructure, and right-size operations to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right places, at the right time, to better serve those
    who need us.
