Brava! WNY: A unique storytelling event about the place of bras in our lives, to benefit women and girls in need.

CALL FOR ARTISTS!

YWCA Western New York invites artists to submit poems, monologues, essays, or songs about the place of brassieres in their lives.

Each submitted work is limited to 750 words or less. Songs should be no more than five minutes in duration and should include lyrics and MP3 file. Please, no sexualized pieces should be submitted. Submissions must be in MS Word or MP3 format and emailed to: submissions@justbuffalo.org. Please include BRAVA! WNY SUBMISSION in subject line. Please also include the following information:

• Title of the work
• Short bio
• Contact information

Submissions open Tuesday, September 4th and close Friday, October 5th. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by a juried-panel from Just Buffalo Literary Center. Just Buffalo Literary Center’s mission is to create and strengthen communities through the literary arts. We believe in the love of reading, the art of writing, and the power of the literary arts to transform individual lives and communities. Artists will be selected and notified no later than Friday, October 19, 2018. Selected artists will perform their work at: Brava!
