Week Without Violence Art Exhibition
YWCAs across the country are raising awareness to the violence in our society in a number of creative and meaningful ways. In Buffalo, the YWCA of WNY partnered with Crisis Services (Erie County's Sexual Assault responders), the Buffalo Society of Artists and Nova Photo to organize an art exhibition featuring photographs taken by inner city teens depicting a life free of violence.
The students (ages 16-18) of the YWCA of WNY Education & Training program were faced with the challenge of capturing the theme in their pictures. These young students showed a great deal of artistic talent and insight. Please take a few minutes to visit our on-line gallery.
