Extended Day Programs

The YWCA Extended Day Program (EDP) is a high quality, safe, licensed and affordable school-based childcare program before and/or after the regular school day. The majority of the EDPs are housed on site in the child’s school. The programs serve students ages 5-12 years old.

 

The YWCA of WNY is one of the largest providers of licensed school age care in Western New York. The school districts include Buffalo, Cleveland Hill, Williamsville, City of Tonawanda, Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda, West Seneca, Cheektowaga, Springville and Sweet Home.

 

There are many supervised activities for the children to enjoy---- arts/ crafts, indoor and outdoor sports and games, homework help, community service, as well as a healthy snack. The staff is trained to provide age appropriate and culturally diverse programs that meet the needs of the students and their families.
