Early Childhood Programs

The YWCA of WNY Early Childhood Programs encourages child development in a structured yet flexible format and is based on the individual needs of the child. It is a high quality, affordable program, which is run according to the NYS Department of Social Services childcare rules and regulations. The programs service children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

  

The YWCA of WNY currently operates sites in Buffalo at Makowski Center and School House Commons.  The programs are designed to service children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age. All sites house Early Head Start and the School House Commons has a UPK program. There is also a UPK program at Aldrich Street School in Gowanda. 

 

Qualified and experienced staff implements developmentally appropriate activities such as social skills, arts/crafts, educational curriculum, games and physical activities and healthy snack and meals.
